I met the founder of The Tidy Queens at a local business introduction event. After a lengthy discussion, it was apparent I could help her expand by increasing her marketing initiatives, more interaction at local events and advertising at local establishments as well as building more of an online presence through social media. Her determined focus and solid business plan coupled with a rigorous marketing plan were the recipe for success. My background of more than 25 years of sales experience and track record of solving customer issues was the perfect complement for The Tidy Queens growth model.

After a few discussions and seeing first hand how thorough her team cleans, I was very impressed. The typical cleaning service is quick and only does a “surface” cleaning. The Tidy Queens prides itself on their slogan ” Leaving no Spot Untouched ” is truly their key to success. This is what sets them apart from other cleaning services and will earn them many referrals for them to grow their businesses. It’s also refreshing to note that they are also right on time!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting up any new business will always have struggles and The Tidy Queens is no exception. In the beginning, daily business was run from the founder’s home and the few jobs that trickled in from word of mouth were done by family and friends. These are typical struggles that most new businesses will have to overcome in the beginning.

Keeping your overhead costs low and maximizing profit is essential.

Sticking to a solid business plan by networking diligently and tapping into every resource you have to increase awareness is essential. Taking pride in your work and knowing you did the best job you could do, not only for the company image but for the happiness of the customer is the-building blocks of their success. This has been and will be the benchmark of their success, what sets them apart and what will make them grow and unique in the industry!!

The Tidy Queens is a Residential and Commercial cleaning service serving the Chicagoland area. The idea of starting this business came from the Founder having spent many years in Corporate America and being dissatisfied with the level of cleanliness that had become ‘acceptable’ because the norm is simply to perform a very basic surface cleaning. It is a known fact that most people spend more hours at work than they do in their own homes. Although people tend to be more focused on keeping a clean home, it is even more important that the workplace is a clean environment since they spend more time there and this is also one of the most important factors in office productivity. Ways that workplace cleanliness affects productivity: Health Benefits-The surfaces of an office can be contaminated quickly without regular, thorough cleaning.

For example, the average office keyboard has roughly 7,500 bacteria on it. Another health issue caused by dirty workplaces is their role in triggering allergies. When filth is left to accumulate in a space, it greatly increases the amount of dust and allergens in the air. This can lead to dry eyes, scratchy throats and other allergic reactions. It can also cause asthma attacks. All of these will greatly reduce worker productivity, making it imperative to keep the working environment clean. She hopes to build a company of people with integrity and who take great pride in their work and reformat the way that clients look at the services being rendered as well as how the crews view the services they perform.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The Company’s goal is to build its brand built on exceptional meticulous service, where integrity and honesty is of utmost importance. We are looking forward to working alongside a few local organizations in Aurora to bring jobs to the area residents.

The Owner also has visions of becoming a National name by branching out to other cities while still keeping the same great service that she’s intent on providing currently and not becoming a commercialized entity where the only thing that matters is numbers and the bottom line.
