in 1971, while on a trip to Italy with family…I brought an Instamatic Camera with me…
The film processing in Italy was so vivid…that when I opened my print packages I was blown away with the colors and sharpness.
I was studying Architectural Drafting in High School and Jr College at this time, and switched to photography as major…
I’ve never looked back from this point!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Learning the business end of this trade. There are so many great photographers out there, but you also have to be a solid businessman. I’ve always had a good eye, but never was a good salesperson.
Left the business for a few years to study sales, and then jumped back in to photography!! This helped my business triple in a few short years.

I’m an advertising, aerial, corporate communications, fine art specialist. I’m known in the City for taking on helicopter aerial, risk taking shooter.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have studied sales and photography at the same time. Could have saved myself a lot of time, and money.
