Today we’d like to introduce you to Udit Agarwal.
Udit, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It wasn’t until my personal experience during a night out in Chicago that I realized the many avoidable struggles many face in the nightlife industry. Planning a night out can be a complicated process in itself, but when it comes to factors that are out of your control it holds the potential to ruin your entire night. InstaBottles came to fruition when I was planning a night out for my brother’s birthday and had a bad experience; we showed up the night of and realized the club didn’t have our reservation. The nightlife industry is one big gray area which, unfortunately, often leaves clients hanging last minute. InstaBottles app allows its customers to plan and manage everything at their own time, pace, and convenience. InstaBottles is the OpenTable for nightlife!
Taking initiative and working hard to pave my own path comes of second nature because of the impact my family members have left; specifically, my father and brother. I remember growing up in India helping out my father with his business at the age of ten. Growing up amidst family members who are successful, business-minded entrepreneurs sparked my initial flame. That positive exposure has always been my environment and is my main source of inspiration and motivation. My friends and business partners also play a huge role with where I am today. They have dedicated their time and volunteered with the start-up process from networking and connecting me to the right people to testing the app in real time and getting the word out there.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been all smooth sailing. When InstaBottles initially started coming together, there was a lack of resources in terms of time. It was hard to balance a full-time job and giving undivided attention to this project. It was a difficult juggle but I would work on InstaBottles during my evenings every day after work and dedicate long hours during the weekends. We’ve come a long way and we’re extremely proud of all our accomplishments thus far. It’s always rewarding when clients thank you for smooth service and struggle-free night. Our company is one of a kind in the sense that there really isn’t anything like InstaBottles in this market and we’re focused on improving the nightlife experience.
Please tell us about InstaBottles, Sprout Robotics.
InstaBottles: We are the OpenTable for nightlife. Customers can reserve tables at the hottest nightclubs on their fingertips and get special discounts towards bottles while getting VIP experience.
Sprout Robotics: We offer after school STEM enrichment programs and workshops in drone technology, 3D printing and Robotics. Our goal is to get students excited about science and technology early on.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Eating street food in India.
