Today we’d like to introduce you to Todd Connor.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Todd. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started Bunker Labs after I served in the U.S. Navy, had started a couple businesses, and decided that I wanted to build an organization that would help other military veterans do the same. Today we have chapters in 17 different cities and are helping over 400 military veterans and their spouses start and grow their own business.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Growing an enterprise is never easy, though I think working with military veterans makes it as easy as it can be. There is such a shared set of values and work ethic amongst military veterans which is incredibly unique and turns out to be a tremendous asset when you go to start an organization and scale it across different cities. It still is our competitive advantage.

We help military veterans start and grow their own business, and there are very few organizations across the U.S. that have that focused on a mission. What sets us apart is our ability to communicate authentically with veterans who want to start their own business. We are that ourselves, and keep that front and center this idea that we aren’t doing anything except helping the next version of ourselves down the line.
What were you like growing up?
I was a vivacious and curious child. I set up a toll booth as a kid to make money – charging my parents every time they went up the stairs. I loved to create and to make believe.
