Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Humphrey.
Tiffany, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
This could be hard to believe, but I hated makeup at one point. I was a lip gloss mascara kind of girl, but one day I saw myself in a photo and that changed. It started off with a little concealer and snowballed into a full face of glam.
When I started TiffDailyBeat it was really a way for me to really explain and showcase the new makeup lines or products that were coming out. I never thought I would be a makeup artist. My friends would ask me all the time do my makeup or practice on me and It turned into me doing faces and teaching others how to apply their makeup.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When you’re just starting out its hard. There were so many skin tones and so many different products. I had to really buy a little bit of everything and go from theirs. I use to work in a mall and I would go to the MAC counter and bagger them about all the products. I would have to research what works for oily skin, dry skin, test on myself and go from there. It was truly trial and error. It took me 3 years to build my kit, but I made it.

My most proud moment is being published in Sophisticates Black Hair magazine in the May issue!! It was so surreal seeing my name and brand published! I worked with ORS for their campaign and had no idea my photo would be published! What I believe sets me apart is I not only want to do your makeup, but I want to help you learn how to do your own makeup so without my help you can still get GLAM!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Besides ORS I would have to say launching my own website!!! TiffDailyBeat.Com is my baby.
