I started my photography hobby after my first child was born and taking lots of pictures of him then I decided to go to school to learn more about camera, lighting and editing programs. My passion developed into the business and today I do what I love. Maternity and newborns are my biggest passion so I concentrate in to that more than other genres of photography. Pregnancy is something very magical and special as well as a childbirth. I love to capture those moments so people can treasure them forever, I couldn’t be more happy to be a part of their journey.
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s hard sometimes being a mom and a business owner but I try to find a balance between work and family time.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Skaiste Vingilys Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
I specialize in maternity and newborn photography. My style is dreamy fairy tale. I love big dresses, crowns, flowers and bright colors.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I hope to have my second studio location in the city of Chicago. I also hope I will be able to travel more and meet all different nationality clients. I am actually doing a project right now with my team of different nationality pregnant women, which inspires and motivates me a lot. I love getting to know all different cultures.
