Meet Sheila Jung of Ipomea Floral Design in Chicagoland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheila Jung.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Sheila. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
In college I majored in Art and have a passion for adding more beauty to the world one bouquet at a time. I use flowers like paints and choose each flower for its color, texture or shape so that each arrangement I make is unique to the client who ordered it. I adore working with couples in love to make their weddings memorable with beautiful floral designs. I encourage my clients to trust their instincts by going with their gut when making floral choices, but to also let me do the heavy lifting when it comes to designing, taking advantage of my years of design experience. This usually results in happy clients that are thrilled with their end product!

Has it been a smooth road?
Years ago when I graduated with a degree in Art, I had to really look at what made me happy and ask myself how I wanted to keep my creative strengths as part of my everyday life as I entered the workforce. I soon realized I needed to create the job I wanted, and that turned into building the business I now have. Owning a business is never easy as it usually requires long hours without days off, but seeing happy clients is worth all the work!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Ipomea Floral Design – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Ipomea Floral Design is a floral design company specializing in weddings and events. We love to create designs for all different budgets and styles, we love to do something different each week. We are known for our natural, organic, yet elegant style and our fabulous relationships with our clients. The most notable thing about our company is that we care beyond words that our clients love their flowers and do everything we can to see to it that everything that leaves our studio is beautiful.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
My favorite thing about Chicago is the diversity among the people. I love everyone’s differences and think that makes us special. And the food, Chicago has the best food.
