Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronald Clark.
In 2009, I was working door to door sales for Comcast, and during my free time, I decided to go sledding with my kids. I jumped on a snowboard and was doing surprisingly well, until I encountered an ice patch at the bottom of the hill. Before I knew it, I was airborne and just as quickly, I had crash landed onto my right shoulder. I didn’t realize it at that time, but my shoulder was fractured.
A week later, I had another unfortunate incident; a fall at work, which also injured my right shoulder. Following this incident, my employer took me out of the field and reassigned me to a desk job. This resulted in a substantial pay cut and put me in a terrible bind. With failing health, growing debt and a family that I was unable to support, I stepped out in Faith; I put in my two weeks’ notice and began formalizing a game plan for Unified Companies.
One of Unified Companies’ first achievements was signing an independent agreement with Comcast Spotlight, to resell commercial airtime to small businesses. Unified quickly and aggressively grew to service small businesses throughout the Chicagoland area; and to multiple suburbs and businesses in over 6 states. We have also been Blessed to deliver client advertising in over 30 states.
Our initial service offering of TV Commercials has now expanded to include Web Design, Graphic Design, Social Media Marketing, SEO, Print Fulfillment and much more. Unified Companies offers small business owners a full suite of services, to help encourage growth, via our Business Club (Biz Club) and our Dedicated Unified Team.
Unified Companies gives back to the community in three ways:
1. Community Development Programs.
2. ‘Signature Works’ –
A Graphic Design and Art Training Program which teaches and inspires individuals to tap into their creative abilities by:
o Offering Various Opportunities through and within Unified Companies
o Aiding Aspiring Business Owners in the Establishment of their Own Company
o Providing Placement Opportunities and Encouraging People to Work within their Respective Fields
3. LCA Disability (Lantigua Clark & Associates) –
This area of Unified is managed by my wife, which is also my business partner and life partner, Sheila Lantigua Clark:
o Focusing on Helping the Disabled and Injured; Assisting them in Receiving the Benefits that they Deserve.

Not at all, things have actually been extremely tough; with the lack of finances in the beginning, poor credit score and failing health, there were definitely some struggles. But, with the love and support of God, my mother, father, sister and wife, along with the realization that this (Unified Companies) is my purpose, at this time, and my contribution to society; that provides the motivation that is necessary to continue to achieve and to always strive for excellence, in spite of current circumstances.

I don’t think luck has had any impact on Unified. I do, wholeheartedly, believe that an opportunity presented itself, we believed that we could achieve, and we acted on that belief. Faith plays a huge role in my personal life and my business.
