Today we’d like to introduce you to Prajakta Sharma.
Prajakta, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always been a very creative person. I have been experimenting with photography for many years since it is something I love and find therapeutic. I love trying new things and always loved fashion from a young age. I used to regularly share outfit looks on my Instagram until a few friends and family members expressed that they love my Instagram content. This gave me a lot of motivation to start my blog. I didn’t have any mentors and did a lot of research before actually launching ‘Glam & Panache’. It was a 4 months long process where I did all my research and this started a new learning curve for me. There is so much to learn in this field, every day you get to learn something new. I believe one should never leave his/her passion and keep that as a hobby. Getting to do what I love as a hobby is definitely a plus. I draw inspiration from everything around me, have always enjoyed writing and try to keep it simple and stylish always!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am a strong believer of the phrase “If there is no struggle, there is no progress.” Setting up my blog was definitely very challenging. But that is just a phase. Once you get used to the way things work it’s not a big deal. You also need to be very dedicated and passionate about the content for your blog to pick up quickly. I am so grateful for all the love I get from my readers. I love reading emails and messages I receive from people. They are so full of positivity and definitely very encouraging. I am happy my readers enjoy the experimentation I do and I truly believe that hard work pays off.
I would like to tell all those who plan on starting their blog to be consistent with your primary channel whether its Instagram, Your Blog, Facebook etc. If you enjoy what you do the time and effort that goes into blogging/creating content wouldn’t matter to you. Post what you love and you are going to do really well.
Glam And Panache – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a Lifestyle, Beauty and Fashion Blogger with a 9-5 that keeps me busy. I have also recently started sharing content on food. My blog Glam & Panache features my personal eclectic style and is all about the things I love. I love sharing lifestyle how to’s, beauty tips, weekend recipes and putting together different outfits on my Instagram and social channels. What sets me apart from others is the drive I have for things, my optimistic nature and the plethora of colors that I use in my content.
Who else deserves credit – have you had mentors, supporters, cheerleaders, advocates, clients or teammates that have played a big role in your success or the success of the business? If so – who are they and what role did they plan / how did they help.
I haven’t had any mentors but I am definitely grateful to everyone who has helped me in taking good pictures for my Blog and Instagram. Most of the photos on my social channels are clicked on my DSLR, iPhone or on a Tripod by my hubby. Apart from this people who have also helped me in taking good photos are my sister, parents, friends, family members, neighbors and random people on the streets. Sometimes I even click my own pictures using a tripod. You know…I have given everybody an opportunity to click my pictures…lol.
