Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Kyle Takla.
Dr. Takla, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a child, I had a lot of cavities and was very afraid of the dentist. My uncle is a dentist and he took very good care of me. He made me feel comfortable with dentistry by making it fun and exciting! Eventually, I looked forward to going to his office and wanted to do the same for others.
I received my doctorate of dental medicine from the Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago. I enjoy keeping up to date with the current techniques and technology, which you will see when you visit our office. It is very important to stay up-to-date with the newest improvement to provide the best care to my patients. Dentistry is continually becoming more relaxing for patients because of these improvements. I love getting to know each and every patient one-on-one and help them by making informed choices about their dental health.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Dentistry in my eyes, is always a challenge due to the strive for excellence and perfection. Dentistry is a work of art and science which is why I regularly attend continuation of education courses, search for improved materials and techniques.
Orland Dental Care – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Orland Dental Care is a cosmetic, family, general and specialty practice. We refer to our office as a comprehensive dental center where our patients can receive all of their dental needs in one place. Our office does everything from simple cleanings to full mouth rehabilitation.
When you walk through our doors, we want to make you feels like you are at home. We want you to feel comfortable with the surroundings. We want you to see that we are a state of the art facility and we have something that other dental homes don’t. The moment you leave our office, you will have experienced more than just being our patient, but becoming part of our dental family.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career so far has been experiencing the transformation of my patient’s lives by re-creating the smile they have always been looking for. The smile of the mouth, the tear of the eye, the joy in my patient’s laughter, that is why I still practice dentistry.
