Thanks for sharing your story with us Nicholas. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Like many people, I had suffered a severe physical injury that had greatly impacted many facets of my life. I became tenacious searching for the answer to get better. After seeing orthopeadic surgeons and physical therapists, the traditional route, I stumbled upon Naprapathic Medicine. It turned out to be the best remedy for my injury.
I then sought out to learn this unique system of healthcare and many others frustrated with injuries that have maybe given up hope. I wanted to share this holistic healing and my story with others.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Many struggles, in fact I almost gave up. All of it made me stronger in the end. I am still overcoming obstacles. Naprapathy is not as well known as modalities like Physical Therapy or Chiropractic Medicine.
So many people could really benefit from my work but instead often go the traditional route of these more known medicines. However, in many ways, when people finally learn about Naprapathy having that niche has really helped my business.
I would say all medical practitioners have great difficulty starting a business and gathering a clientele, even many chiropractors do not find success after graduation.
Overall, the medical field can be incredibly rewarding, but also incredibly challenging. I have dealt with difficulties with insurance companies, my own back pain as a result of my work, and overall giving too much of myself in my work.
I have always sought to promote the benefits of Naprapathy and because it is not well known, I have always strived to provide my best in order to overcome these obstacles.
Lorenz Naprapaths – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
With all my clients, I prioritize their individuality. I look individually at their entire musculoskeletal system to find the best solution for them. I provide a vast array of manual therapy techniques and utilize an arsenal of tools so I can find the best solution to their physical pain.
I helped so many people with physical ailments from fibromyalgia, to scoliosis, to herniated disk or more simply physical pain from working at a desk all day.
What makes me most proud is when people come to me after trying all these avenues towards health and we see results and their life improves. I was just like that I was frustrated with not seeing results and the approach of many medical practitioners.
Every day, I recognize my clients’ journey and who they are, that is what sets me apart and is a great factor in my success.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
For a while I had suffered from Plantar Fasciitis, foot pain, that was debilitating. I sought physical therapy, visited a podiatrist, and received orthodontics. None of it worked and I was in pain whenever I walked.
I was in school for Naprapathy and while viewing anatomy slides in class, I noticed that a certain muscle that ended in the foot had an interesting pathway up the calf.
I would often self-administer Gua Sha, also known as Graston, while in class. It helped for me to start feeling and learning the body and fix issues I had.
So, in five minutes of doing Gua Sha at that interesting upper calf muscle, I dropped my foot pain 75% and now it is gone completely. In five minutes, I accomplished what months of other methods could not.
It was a moment I will never forget that helped to clarify the strength of Naprapathy.
