Thanks for sharing your story with us Mourad. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
In my personal life, I have always had a passion for health and fitness. I am a personal trainer, dietician, and former college athlete. I have competed and won several NPC Body Building Phyhsique Competitions. I have also trained and coached many people to be sucsessful within the fitness industry. Additionally, I have been successful in owning and running several businesses. I finally decided to combine my passions and open my own gym. But Mode is more than a gym its a lifestyle. What is your Mode? Mode is very special and was built from the ground up. Total renovations were needed to create the amazing atmosphere and space that is now known in the West Loop as the “hip modern gym”. I wanted to create a new kind of gym with a fun and welcoming atmosphere, staffed by experienced personal trainers, fitness instructors, world renowned equipment that’s going to help you reach your fitness goals and make working out fun again. My main goal was to bring science and technology to the gym world. I did this by adding the STYKU 3D body scanning machine, our very own nutrition platform FUEL MODE, and our Cryotherapy machine for recovery. I’ve worked out in many gyms in different states and always paid close attention to detail and wanted my gym to have all the amenities needed to educate my clients and quickly help them with their transformations and change their lifestyles.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course, there have been a few bumps in the road but the path to greatness is never smooth. I have gone through several different locations and even in the beginning phases of construction for MODE but my vision would not be met by those locations making me continue my search. When I found this location I completely gutted and remodeled the space to maximize the usage for members. I know every single inch of MODE from the ground up. I even added a second-floor mid-construction – that took an extra 6 months – to add a level of cardio equipment. Every obstacle made me strive for a more perfect facility allowed my vision to become reality. I anticipate that we will continue to encounter struggles along the way but I love a challenge and my dedicated team and I will always come out on top!
