Mitul, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Back in 2004, we started as pure digital-marketing consulting business which brought data-driven search optimization strategies (SEO) to enterprise companies. The goal was to help companies achieve greater visibility in the organic search results on search engines like Google.
Consulting back in those days involved a LOT of heavy work. No real tools existed to be able to aggregate, clean, format and analyze the data needed to drive decisions. While some desktop tools existed to help with search engine rank checking and reviewing the page-level information, there was a tremendous amount of research done in disparate tools that had to be collated to make sense and act upon. The best consultants were usually the best Microsoft excel jockeys.
This is the situation that prompted us to embark on building technology – initially just for helping us scale our own consulting efforts and quickly thereafter to empower our users to be able to see the impact of our recommendations on their results… By 2007 we had a product that the market was looking for. By 2011, seoClarity become a full product/technology company.
Now, as a software as a service (SaaS), we provide our clients data, insights, and content recommendations to help them connect with their customers in the right moments online. Our approach is three-fold – the advanced technology, a framework that focuses on delivering the best search experience for the end user, and our unparalleled client support, helps 2,500+ brands achieve the most robust search visibility.

There are so many challenges in the digital marketing world, its fun to break down and try to solve them. It’s exciting to solve these challenges and so much not yet done to help brands to solve this complex puzzle. With search so embedded in our life, there’s so much to come. With voice search on mobile devices or personal, home assistants with one answer (versus what companies are used to with a whole page of results). We’re excited to offer brands solutions to these complex challenges, but it’s not always easy. Again, we focus on our clients’ needs and prioritize our evolution on real challenges they are facing.

Chicagoland is a hotspot for technology. Ultimately, yes, our success in part comes from where we’re based. It’s easy to travel the US, and with O’Hare being a hub to connect to anywhere in the world, it’s easy for us to visit our clients any time we want. In addition, we find amazing talent right in our own backyard. There are so many talented digital, technology minded talent, and we’ve found Chicago a great home for our business.
