Today we’d like to introduce you to Milica Momcilovic Radoncic.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Milica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am the founder and the voice behind www.madeofstarlight.com – fashion and lifestyle destination for “the everyday woman” who feels comfortable in her own skin.
With two university degrees, one in Journalism, and the other one in Management in Art Production, I began my professional career on national TV station in Serbia, country I was born and raised. At the beginning of 2010 I have moved to USA, and I am currently living in Chicago, city I absolutely love.
I launched my blog back in July 2016 and it’s a place where I chronicle and share my personal style, beauty tips, fashion obsessions and travel adventures. I have been featured in some of the top fashion magazines such as “Vogue” and “InStyle” and that side of blogging is really fun, but the best part of being a blogger is the relationships I’ve created with my readers and with other bloggers.
My personal style doesn’t really fit under any certain type. I can wear really cute and girly outfits and then, on another day it can be the opposite. I can also wear pretty much any color. That’s why I would just say my style is very diverse. Kind of a mix of everything. But I’m pretty strict with colors in one outfit, though. Maybe one thing that is always present in my outfits is femininity. I almost always have high heels on.
I find inspiration for my fashion posts almost from everywhere around me! When it comes to outfits I tend to build them around one piece that has caught my attention, so it mainly depends on my mood. I get a great inspiration from other fashion bloggers and the street style that I see during the day. There are so many fashionistas out there that I take my hat off for their style. Also, my mother has always been a great inspiration to me. Though she lives in a small city in Serbia, she has always been very fashion conscious and has been following the fashion trends in a balance with her personal style, way of living and character.
The best thing of being a fashion blogger is to be able to interact with all the other fashion lovers, inspire other people and share my love. Fashion blogging teaches you so many things from different areas. As a person who always wants to develop herself to be the best, I enjoy challenging myself and learning new things through blogging.
Has it been a smooth road?
For me, the biggest challenge is taking the time to take photos. I often joke with my husband that my best outfits never end up on my blog, because when I’m wearing them I’m either too lazy or having too much fun to shoot them! Also, in the winter in Chicago, it is often too cold to take photos, and I find that I end up wearing the same boots and coat almost every day, so it’s hard to find the inspiration to switch up my look and wear something cool when it is freezing outside! Building a successful blog definitely takes time and effort.

I can remember the day I wrote my first blog post in July 2016. I’ve learned a lot since that day, and I continue to learn more about blogging every day. Nowadays, I approach blogging from a different perspective. After writing a lot of posts, I am more comfortable in my own blogging skin.
