Michael had a passion for design and architecture from an early age. By third grade, while other kids were drawing their family dog, he was sketching his dream home’s floor plans and elevations.
Centaur Interiors originally was a division of a construction company that specialized in residential remodels. Quickly, it grew into a turnkey residential design/build firm that branched out on its own.
Has it been a smooth road?
There are always struggles in this type of business and economy. Construction is actually set up for failure, it is the nature of the work. Items come in wrong, weather, subcontractors don’t show up, etc. Even with daily obstacles we work harmoniously with our clients, vendors, and subcontractors to overcome these obstacles. Our seamless process and attention to details is would helps us overcome these hurdles.

With meticulous attention to detail, the dynamic team at Centaur Interiors, under the leadership of founding Principal Michael Miller, has rapidly transformed the stage in the residential design/build market in Chicago. The company has evolved from residential remodeling to a full turnkey solution including development, design and furnishings.
Designing and building our showroom/office space if by far our greatest success. It represents who we are and our achievements. We plan to stay in the design district for years to come.

I feel we are in the perfect location for our level and type of work. Our clientele and most of our projects are just blocks away. This city is an amazing city for our business, but it takes hard work, passion and expertise to be successful anywhere.
