Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Abron.
Michael, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am now 40 years old and have been married to Alita Abron for over 12 years.
For me, everything started in the streets as a member of the Street Gang called the Gangster Disciples over 26 years ago.
I choose to make a better lifestyle choose for my life upon being reached out to by a former member of the same gang who had become a Christian,
For that decision, I received plenty of death threats from gang members of which I choose not to be a part of anymore but it was a stopped by what I will call a divine intervention when a high ranking member approached me and said that he respects my decision and that as far as he was concerned, I was out of the gang and that if anyone else threatens me that he would put an end to it.
After spending the next 19 years encompassing, developing a relationship with God, completing theological and ministerial training and receiving ordination to the ministry, serving under 2 mentor ministers, church leadership, church planting, pastoral work, discipleship and working in various areas of outreach in a local church, I felt that it was time to start Kingdom Construction Crew Ministries Inc.
I have extensively trained in martial arts and self-defense tactics over a twenty eight-year period, in which he has earned high black belt ranks in multiple martial arts, my background further includes celebrity bodyguard, government security, and part-time law enforcement work.
The knowledge that has been learned while working in these fields has been an extremely helpful tool in reaching and working with people groups of different background and cultures.
I am passionate to help through training and council, churches, ministries and ministers (local and internationally) across cultural and denominational boundaries fulfill their vision of cross cultural evangelism, church planting, helping individuals find into their specific spiritual gifts and callings (purpose in life), training and releasing individual Christian to share the love and power of God with others in the world.
Has it been a smooth road?
Most of the challenges have been just fighting through cultural, and denominational differences amongst the churches, ministers and ministries but, when there is a true desire from those we work with, there is always great success.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Kingdom Construction Crew Ministries story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a multicultural missional minded association for churches, ministers, ministries and individuals with a local, regional and international outreach focus.
Our goal is to demonstrate the love and power of God to others and to be vessels that God can creatively use to impact the lives of those around us in the marketplace (the world). We are not only just a community of people from multicultural backgrounds but a family where the love, fellowship and power of God is made known.
The reason is simple, our concern is taking care of what God is concerned about (families, troubled kids/teens, the sick and homebound, the fatherless, the widow, and the orphan) and not just developing and maintaining an organization. We partner with aid and train churches, ministries and ministers, across cultural and denominational boundaries be mobilizes to fulfill this same specific objective both individually and corporately for global impact.
We also have a martial arts ministry which is used to impact the lives of people both naturally and spiritually of many different nationalities, the age ranges from 3 and up, even seniors. We recently added special customized self defense seminars once a month for women who to busy with life duties (work, kids, grocery shopping, house chores, etc.) and are unable to attend the consistency of a weekly martial arts class.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We plan to have equip and mobilized hundreds of churches, ministers, ministries and individual Christians around the world have pushed past their differences and even traditions that would hinder them from being successful at impacting the lives of others for the kingdom of heaven.
