Today we’d like to introduce you to Marianne Strokirk.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Marianne. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born and raised in Sweden. I started hairdressing at the early age of 17, which began as an apprenticeship for my father and mentor who had a salon in Sweden. I then moved to work in both London and Paris.
My talent was sought after in the US and therefore I made the move to Chicago. I worked behind the chair and built a large and loyal clientele. In 1989 the time came to start my own salon. My philosophy was to teach and train our own skilled stylists that continues to be my mission today.
My motto is there are NO bad hair days, only bad haircuts! I truly love what I do and I now enjoy that with my wonderful team of 50 staff members in a brand new beautiful 5,000 sq. ft. space in the Gold Coast
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There is never a smooth ride! Dedication, continued hard work, and some luck! I had many struggles and made many sacrifices. I have great family and a very supportive husband and wonderful children.

We are a full service hair salon with a team that offers the highest quality services. We specialize in haircutting and hair coloring. I am most proud of my staff, and our excellent reputation, many of whom have been with me 10-30 years.
