Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis Mota.
Luis G. Mota is a Los Angeles born and bred native, who relocated from sunny Southern California to Chicago’s beautiful North Shore (on a part-time basis) because he loves Chicagoland’s cosmopolitan amenities — the culture, arts, fine food, and history! Chicago has everything to love about a big city, but offers an easier lifestyle without the stress usually accompanied by a metropolis and is very manageable. The geography is magnificent, and so are the people. Whether you prefer being in the city or the suburbs, you will be surrounded by beautiful homes, good food and art, and the nicest people. But I also love LA and find myself going back a couple times a month to spend time with family, friends, and clients.
In his previous working life, Luis was a business development marketing specialist for ten years within the commercial real estate, supply chain and logistics, publishing, and consumer goods industries. His former real estate marketing career has given him the tools necessary to achieve success.
Understanding the needs of his clients is essential to successfully find them their “dream home.” Luis prides himself on listening and figuring out what people like, dislike, and what will make them happy in the long-run.
In 2012, Luis earned his Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in Marketing. During and post-college, he received certificates in business ethics and crisis communications approved and certified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
And in May, Luis earned his California Real Estate License and is based out of Strand Hill, a Christie’s Affiliate in Los Angeles. Most recently he earned his Florida Real Estate License and will be based out of Palm Beach and Miami Beach.
In addition to loving the cold weather, he also enjoys:
Architecture, interior design, and horticulture
Historic buildings and neighborhoods
Big cities
Arts, culture, and museums
Fashion
Traveling
Cars and driving
Education
Wine
Cats
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has not been smooth, but if it was then the journey would not be fun and the reward not worth it.
I moved from Los Angeles one year ago to be with my fiancé for his job. Moving from one city to another is never easy, but when you are learning the real estate market, neighborhoods, and penetrating the market it makes it much more difficult. However, I love challenges and have had a great time learning the market and meeting amazing people!
I am enjoying the ride and building my business from the ground up in a new environment. The hard work, road bumps, and difficult times have made the rewards and victories deliciously sweet.
