Latasha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Now… that’s a long story!
Blogger, Publicist, Celebrity Interviewer, Sports Journalist, Image Consultant about sums it up, Latasha M. Ford!
Creating eye-catching, engaging content via multiple mediums is what I love to do. I have always been known for having a keen yet creative niche’, fashionable eye, grasping personality and simply a character which attracts the best of the best. I Love People! And, my background, network, experiences, family, and friends can all attest to that. Some would say “Tasha, it isn’t possible to love everyone and maintain multiple friendships across the board-all receiving 100% of you.” But, what makes me unique is that I simply beg the differ. It is Possible!
On another note… blogging and composing creative content is one of my countless talents and gifts. I always have something to say to those that are around me. I pride myself on spreading a warm vibe, friendly spirit, encouraging words, and joyful sayings that may brighten up someones’ day.
About Me. well, let’s see! I am not only a blogger, publicist, jack-of-many-trades who has obtained three degrees in a multiplicity of areas e.g. Marketing, PR, Communications, Pre-Law, Sports Management having also tapped into my Doctorate program in Organizational Leadership. But, I made a wise decision of pressing the “pause” button on that goal for now. My professional background consists of my being an Image Consultant for nearly 15 years, working in many facets of the Radio-Media industry, fulfilling a role as Publicist to many clients, while also fulfilling roles as a Brand Strategist, Social Media & Website Manager, Assistant Podcast Show Producer, Celebrity Interviewer and lastly a Ticket Sales Representative for the NBA – Chicago Bulls. My PR experience expands from the Chicago market to markets such as Atlanta, New York and Miami. I have interviewed celebrities such as: Natalie Paul, Kent Faulcon, Charmaine Bingwa, Omar Dorsey, Jai Slaughter, Frank Johnson and many more. The list of clients whereas I have managed and worked with as a Publicist is entirely too long and the list goes on and on. I think… that’s what makes me interesting!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes, primarily because there is passion in writing for me. I absolutely enjoy writing about a multiplicity of wide-range topics. There is always a positive message to convey to others; and, I love being the voice to do such. In essence, it has not been of struggle nor challenge for me. Because I strongly believe that when you truly enjoy what it is that you do, peace-lies within.
Poshnez Blog, my personal blog and PoshPRAgenci – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Again, I am a blogger and my blog touches base on a multitude of topics. The name of my blog is Poshnez – Persistence, Prayer, and Patience leads to Purpose which is more-less along the lines of inspirational writing. However, lately other topics have been focused upon. Initially, when my blog was born my direction was centered upon “inspirational writing”. But, now my blog is set apart from others because… on any given day you can scroll across positive, encouraging words. And, the next day there could be an intriguing yet transparent message about true love, life struggles, image, societal issues and much more. in my eyes, a true blogger is one to speak from the heart while also being able to relate to readers. That comes from being honest and straight-forward with your words. So, I blog about whatever is placed on my heart daily. And, that isn’t the case with all blogs out here. What is important to me is not the amount of followers….But, creating a message for everyone out there to be able to relate. In addition, I am in the process of also starting my own PR agency.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
There have been countless of proud moments in my life. Quite honestly, they can never be wrapped up into a paragraph. But, in short-the moment in my career whereas I look back fondly on is my confidence throughout it all. Despite, many obstacles which seemed to have always come my way.. I remained confident in my visions and dreams. And, the birth of my blog. My blog has opened up so many amazing opportunities for me in ways that I could have never imagined. And, being able to maintain multiple jobs while obtaining many degrees are all moments to be proud of. I am most proud and fond of myself! I am a winner… who makes a difference in the lives of others that are around me by sharing my experiences, truths, most vulnerable moments, and myself through my blog.
