Kvitoslava and Zoreslava, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Our passion for flowers began when we were little girls. As we grew up we were surrounded by flowers. When we got to the age to decide what we want to do in life we absolutely knew it was going to be connected with flowers. As studying and living most of the grown-up time in Europe, we saw the development of flower box arrangements. And at that time this type of arrangements was not popular in the US.
We wanted to introduce the European style of flower arrangements in Chicago city. First, we started doing little arrangements for friends. And then decided to open our little company. We created an Instagram page and wanted to see if our arrangements would interest others. At the beginning, we were a home based company. Later on, when our orders grew we decided to open our first flower shop.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part in was smooth, but you always have those little bumps on the road.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Secret Garden of Chicago – what should we know?
We are a floral boutique. Mostly we specialize in flower box arrangements for any occasion you can think of, and as well we do flower bouquets. We have a big variety of different boxes: suede, plastic boxes, baby cribs, angel boxes, kid boxes. Every flower box we make is unique and special.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
We try to be on top of everything, and unique in what we do.
