Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsey Moran.
Kelsey, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My mother, the owner has loved Resale her whole life. She always wanted to have her own resale boutique. Kelsey Resale Boutiques started in downtown Glen Ellyn in 2011 with another opening in Hinsdale a year later. Our newest location is in Lake Forest in 2015. Now we are taking our incredible stores to the internet!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been a very smooth road!

We are an Upscale Resale Boutique.
I am the manager of our Hinsdale location. I mainly handle sales, social media, marketing and merchandising.
I am very proud that we’ve established a great Instagram and Facebook following. Our customers are very supportive. I believe we’ve extremely different than most Resale consignment boutiques because all stores carefully curate their inventory with focusing on high end, contemporary brands that are in great shape, authentic and purchased within the past few years.
What were you like growing up?
I was very shy growing up. Working at the boutiques definitely helped me to become a more outgoing person.
I’ve always been into fashion and interior design. So, this business has been perfect for me.
