So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was a Licensed Esthetician in Poland running my own business when I decided to move to United States. I had to start from square one but with hard work and dedication I opened my Salon few years ago. Prior to opening my business I decided to learn about Permanent Makeup and how can help people in that field. There’s so many possibilities , from beauty – eyebrows, eyeliners, lip to more medical procedures like areola reconstruction, scar camouflage and scalp micropigmentation. I became a Certified Trainer and I teach people now how to do Permanent Makeup.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I came to United States not speaking English and with little money. It was a struggle but I wanted to succeed and here I am. After many years of working for someone, renting rooms I took a leap of faith and opened my own business.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Om Spa – what should we know?
I am a Permanent Makeup Artist and a Trainer. I am proud of my work and I feel like I can relate to my students because I know how it is to start something new and learn everything from scratch. When I don’t tech I work on my clients doing all procedures from micro blading eyebrows to scalp micropigmentation.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I think believing in myself and not being afraid to work hard.
