Meet Justeen Ferguson of Elizabeth Wedding Designs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justeen Ferguson.

Justeen, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I like to say I “luckily” fell into wedding planning. I had recently left a television job and found myself on the phone with a wedding planner who needed help, so I jumped in knowing nothing! Then after spending the summer learning the business, and completing 87 wedding! Yes 87 in one summer, I knew I could do this for myself and saw all the potential.

So got the business license, got a game plan, made a website and before you knew it the weddings were flying in! I feel so grateful to have found something I love doing and it was not something I ever set out to do, it happened to just fall into my lap like I find most great things do.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part, I would say it has been pretty smooth, there are of course learning curves, and realizing that not every bride is going to be the same, after every wedding I have done not one was the same. They have all been unique and have their own needs so each wedding you are almost relearning, which is hard at times but also is a great way to never get bored.

Please tell us about Elizabeth Wedding Designs.
Elizabeth Wedding Designs is a wedding planning agency that really specializes in being there every step of the way. We love being friends with our brides and making sure their day is everything and more than they ever imagined. What makes us different is we are very cost effective, we do not hide any fees or cost add-ons, we show you the prices of everything so you and your fiancé know exactly where your money is going.

I am most proud of our weddings like I said earlier no one has ever been the same and they each end up being better than the last! It is hard to pinpoint what we are “Most Proud” of because we literally started from 0 and are on the up and up, and that is something to be so very proud of, to watch it grow and grow and be recognized is truly a blessing.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Playing in the mountains, I grew up in Lake Tahoe so every day was an adventure, hiking, biking, running through the woods with my sister. Those were the best of days!
