Today we’d like to introduce you to Jori Foreman.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I studied art in college, received a BFA in painting and wasn’t quite sure what to do with it when I graduated. I was in real estate for a while and then realized I needed to be doing something creative, something with my hands. I remembered the results of a career test I took in high school telling me I should be a florist. So, I figured I’d try it out! I went to floral design school and loved it! Then worked for a few different shops around the city before starting my own company.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been pretty smooth, I started off slow and in my basement so I didn’t have to worry about overhead costs for a while. Having a child sort of put a bump in the road but I’ve adjusted to life as a working mom and it’s going well!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Fab Flora Inc. – what should we know?
We are an Avant Garde and eco-friendly event florist. We specialize in unique floral for the artsy, boho type client. (not your typical hotel wedding florist). We are proud to be part of the Green Wedding Alliance which means are mindful of the environment. We are a smaller company which translates to more attention to detail and more of a personal experience for the client.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Great customer service- quick email response time, friendly demeanor and beautiful fresh flowers!

- Weddings start at $2500 for Saturdays May-October
- Bridal Bouquets $175-300
- Low Centerpieces $75-$150
- Tall Centerpieces $175-$400
