Today we’d like to introduce you to Jodi Curry.
Jodi, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My family started the Suparossa Restaurant Group many years ago. They came from Sicily with a desire to be in restaurants and establish their family. I have been apart of my family business since I was 15 years old. One thing that my family established was the will to start at the bottom and work your way up. It truly is the best way to learn the business. That pushed me to not only graduate college with a marketing hospitality management degree but also move on to go to culinary school. I now work for my family and plan events.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The biggest struggle that I am sure everyone can agree when I say this is the loyalty and trust in the restaurant industry. It is very hard to find loyal trustworthy employees. It is these instances that create a bumpy road along the way.

We started as a pizza restaurant specializing in the famous Chicago deep dish! Now have grown to restaurants with extensive delicious menus, event spaces that seat 50-1000 and off-premise catering!
As a family-owned business, it is just that, that I am proud of. I am proud to say I work with my parents and siblings to make this company even better each year.
What were you like growing up?
Well, if you asked my parents I am in the perfect industry. I always like to throw a party. And wouldn’t you know how I “throw” parties every weekend!:) And I always loved to cook so really I am doing what I love through and through.

My party girl from the age of 15! Dad and I are so proud of you from the time you hosted parties in our home growing up to hosting events for Biagio’s and the Belvedere. Your not just an event planner but also a hostess! You have a huge heart for the family business and customers are so happy to work with you!
