Today we’d like to introduce you to Joan Cross.

Joan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
How we got started I worked for a management company for 7 years when the owners sold the buildings to a new management company and they decided to bring in their own employees. One of the owner of the management company asked me to oversee some of his single family homes for him and through him it lead to other property owners and single home owners seeking my services. That’s when the light bulb went off I realized there was a need for small property and single family home owners that did not want to sell their buildings or homes but did not want to deal with the day to day of tenants or rentals and that’s when our company was born

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Overall it has been a wonderful experience owing my own business. Growing a new business can be hard it’s still a lot of leg work and going out knocking on doors and calling private owners. We still gets No’s but that’s with any business.

Jo’ell Management Company is a private property management firm offering reliable and dependable management to communities in Chicago, IL and surrounding areas.

Our purpose is to take on the responsibilities of day-to-day management of your properties. We provide the highest level of quality service to our clients, while acting in the most professional and courteous manner. We strive to ensure client satisfaction while providing superior results with each property we manage no matter the size.

The thing I’m most proud of is helping people find a place to stay and building a good rapport with someone. Because you never know who you may meet and what their story is.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing experience is the best teacher. Without a test there is no testimony.
