Jennifer, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In 1989 over a cup of coffee at my kitchen table in Chicago an electrician named Ron was busy installing a lighting fixture. We talked about many things in life, hobbies, family, work, passions and dreams. I had just left a job in corporate America and wanted to apply my skills in accounting and information technology in the small business market somehow.
Two days later my front door bell rang. I answered and was greeted by a smiling lady with a box of Sage Accounting Software in her hand. “Hi, my name is Marge I just bought this for my business and Ron told me you could help me learn how to use this because I can’t do this by myself” she said.
A company was born and I really did not put much thought into the next series of events that occurred until several years later. I now reflect on this initial opportunity I was provided and realize just how fortunate I was to be in the right place at exactly the right time. That was our first client and within weeks I received another referral and then one after another.
Fast forward 28 years and with a great deal of hard work and some good fortune we continue to thrive in the small business community. One of our strategies is to always recommend accounting and business solutions that meet the needs of our clients and allow them flexibility and scalability to support their business growth and success.

We have had many bumps along the way acquiring working capital, managing expenses and personal just to name a few. We were lucky early on to work with organizations such as SCORE where we received information and counseling and have since found the Small Business Technology Centers to be a great resource as well.
Once we became better at managing during economic downturns it became easier to manage during great times and realized early on that our main asset as a company is the staff. We understand how much they really mean to our success as a company.
