Jane, President of RE/MAX Top Performers in Lake Bluff, Illinois, has emerged as one of the most successful Real Estate Brokers in the United States.
After 26 years in the business, and nearly ten years of working as a highly productive Sales Associate with RE/MAX, Jane achieved #1 Agent status in the Northern Illinois region. In 2000, she purchased her own RE/MAX Brokerage and formed her award-winning team of agents and industry experts, The Jane Lee Team.
She leads a team of more than 35 industry professionals including highly productive sales agents and administrative and support specialists who are experts in their area of focus. Collectively, her team offers comprehensive representation in all areas of Real Estate including Luxury Properties, Residential Real Estate, Investment and Rental Property, Commercial Property.
The brokerage offers a full-service Marketing and Design Department, Customer Care Team, Closing Department and an Administrative Staff available seven days a week.
Jane and her team regularly sponsor local community events including parades, festivals, and fundraisers, and participate in team building activities to grow and strengthen the dynamic of the Jane Lee Team.
Before beginning her career in Real Estate, shee graduated from Fuzhou University in 1985 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and in 1992 she earned a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Loyola University Chicago and completed Marketing course work at Northern Illinois University.
She chose to work in real estate because she decided that she wanted to start her own business. She wanted to start her own business because she didn’t want to work for anyone else, but herself. Through hard work, dedication and passion for what she does, Jane rose to the top and continues to be at the top of her game twenty plus years later!
Jane is a loving wife to her husband John and mother to two children, her daughter Chelsea and her son Corey.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Throughout the years of being in real estate, I have stumbled across the challenges of the real estate market. There have been ups and downs. The market still isn’t quite the same after the recession, but Jane is doing whatever it takes to help her clients sell their home. The housing market has remained quite stagnant and hasn’t bounced back the same way that other markets have. Homes are selling, but not the same way they were before.

Jane is known for being the #1 Agent in Lake County for over 10 years. She has a team of agents and administrative team members that help her run her company day-to-day. Each member of the administrative staff is highly-skilled in what they do.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Jane believes that working hard and being passionate about you do is the key to success.
Jane continues to work hard and do whatever she can for her clients to make them happy! She strives to be the best and to do the best. Jane also believes that being passionate about what you do is also important. Without passion for what you do, you can only achieve so much. The passion that she has for real estate is what drives her to work hard every day because it doesn’t even seem like work.
