So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Superior was started approx. 30 years ago in a basement of your typical Chicago Bungalow. By giving above average service and quality, we have been able to grow to one of Chicago’s’ premier restoration companies, inhabiting over 10,000 sq. of industrial space.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Superior started out as primarily a field service for many of the areas high end retail stores. We have since adapted to the changing economy and now we do more shop jobs. We had to adapt to survive since the restoration industry is tied closely to the economy and how it is going.

Superior is a one stop shop for furniture restoration. We refinish, reupholster and construct all types of furniture, wood and metal. We do onsite repairs as well as having the before mentioned shops. We are known for our quality of service and above average customer service. We are also known for our ability to get our accounts out of “sticky situation’.
What were you like growing up?
I had a very normal upbringing. At an early age my mother asked me to go to our attic. That is where I found the furniture my great grandfather brought to America from Germany and where my love for furniture began.
