Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackie Loughlin.
Jackie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I believe that much of “my story” began two years ago after the birth of my daughter. It was just prior to her birth that I decided to quit my full-time job and stay home with my two children. As I looked into my sweet daughter eyes, I was filled with all of the things I wanted to pass on to her, things I wanted to teach her. I wanted her to know that she had the power and full support to design a life she loved.
As I thought of that message- I asked myself if I was actually living that. Was I designing a life I loved? Was I chasing my dreams? It was at that moment that I decided to set out on a journey. That journey has now lead me to build a lifestyle brand called LifeAsLoughlin and now a children’s clothing line that I have co-created with my sister in law that will be launching in August of 2018.
Has it been a smooth road?
Oh, most definitely not. There have been many late nights, tears, frustrations and questioning myself. But I believe in life many of us have those moments where we are unsure if we can do ______ (fill in the blank). I believe those are the moments that really define us. If you can stick through THOSE moments it often leads to incredible breakthroughs.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Life as Loughlin story. Tell us more about the business.
In creating LifeAsLoughlin I like to share what I often refer to as our families highlight reel while still keeping it real. I’ve tried to capture memories in the making that are filled with laughter and sharing moments that make up pieces of the story that we are living day in and day out.
My blog is constantly evolving and slowly turning into a one-stop-shop where my readers can keep up with our lives, marriage, motherhood, travels, fashion, home decor, trending kid products, etc.
I believe LifeAsLoughlin is successful because we try to remain authentic to who we are as a family and really believe in the products we promote. Brands like to collaborate with us because they know they are going to get high-quality images and a creative delivery.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
My industry is constantly evolving due to the fact that it is all e-commerce and social media based. We save a tremendous amount of money not being brick and mortar but have to be extremely creative in our delivery so people still feel like they are getting a great experience whether they are shopping LifeAsLoughlin or the clothing line launching in August.
