Today we’d like to introduce you to Ingrid Razny.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Ingrid. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We are now a third-generation jeweler with four locations serving the entire Chicagoland area. However, the story of Razny Jewelers began in the late 40s with Stanley Razny Sr., his wife Jane Razny, and one small suburban boutique specializing in custom jewelry. With humble beginnings, Stanley, a gifted bench jeweler, beat the odds and created a legacy. Their youngest child, my husband, Stan Jr., left the accounting world to join the family business in the 1980s. He and I worked to expand the original flagship location, adopting the brands of Rolex and Patek Philippe, and raising our small family-owned jewelry store to the standards of a global brand. We soon opened locations in Highland Park and Hinsdale, in addition to Addison, IL, bringing the Razny culture to all of suburban Chicago. Our children grew to love the jewelry business, graduating as accomplished gemologists and bringing their fresh, artistic view to the brand. With this new generation by our side, we were proud to open our fourth location in 2016, a three-story Rolex and Patek Philippe euro-style boutique in Chicago’s luxurious Gold Coast.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being able to represent the legacy brands of Rolex and Patek Philippe takes more than capital; it takes the commitment of a family. We are the only jeweler in the United States offering three locations for Patek Philippe in one city. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment.

We create the most beautiful custom jewelry imaginable. This commitment to beautiful couture pieces has always been at the core of our mission. We are indeed a family-owned and operated business, and we treat our staff and clients like family members. They are part of the Razny culture, an environment that exudes unpretentious hospitality. Visiting any of our stores is like visiting our home. Everyone is welcome.
