Today we’d like to introduce you to Ines Aguiar.
Ines, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been a dancer my whole life teaching in the USA and abroad for more than 25 years. I moved to Chicago from New York City 11 years ago and since 2008 I’ve been working in rehabilitation , strengthening and posture through Pilates and Gyrotonic.
Using all my knowledge, techniques from dance I incorporated a little bit of everything I know, all my experience with body work and created a very unique style of work out.
Originally from Brazil ,after living in Europe for a while and different places in the USA, I bring a very eclectic and again unique way of moving or even better a way of looking at movement, an ability to reeducate your muscles and patterns to make the body go back to its fully motion and health.
I offer privacy and a peaceful environment to work relaxed and focused with no distractions.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I opened the Studio when the country’s economy was a disaster (2009/2010) so for almost 2 and a half years, I struggled with money not knowing if I could survive the bad crisis but I taught for free, kept moving and seeing people and slowly things got better…. now (last 3 1/2 years) I have a waiting list most of the times.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
What makes me very proud is to know I did it all on my own. Slowly bought every piece of equipment, working hard to get where I am now! All by myself … Brick by Brick I built the Studio and its success.
