So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Ever since I was young, I have always had a passion for the beauty industry and have always enjoyed doing art. After over five years of working in the corporate world, I decided to chase my passion. My husband encouraged me to find my own passion and suggested to learn microblading from his country in Serbia, with Branko Babic PhiBrows. After extensive research, I took a leap of faith and went for it. And honestly, it was nerve-wrecking because I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
After taking the microblading course, I fell in love with the technique and was surprised to learn that it could turn into such a great transformation on someone’s face and could make a huge impact in their life. I practiced for six months and finally receive the PhiBrows certificate of completion to become a PhiBrows microblading artist. After two months, I received a higher achievement of PhiBrows Royal Artist given by Branko Babic. After a year as a certified microblading artist and opened my own salon, I became PhiBrows Master where I was training students to learn the art of microblading.
As someone who is eager to learn, I continuously study new techniques around the world in Russia, Estonia, London, Serbia, and Vietnam from the best artists. I want to be able to expand my services to my clients, helping them feel beautiful in the most natural way. With extensive knowledge and experience about microblading, I created my own technique called the 6D Advanced Microblading. This technique can create hyper-realistic hair-strokes and achieve the best result, lasting up to two years. In addition to my microblading services, I also provide Ombré brows, Combo Microblading/Shading brows, Semi-permanent Eyeliner with Classic CatEye Eyeliner and Butterfly Eyeliner Effect, and 3D Lips Contour.
I’ve had extensive knowledge and experiences in microblading for the past few years and now I want to share my techniques and tips for students who are interested in microblading training. After training from several academies and artists, I felt that I didn’t get as much help after the training ended as it was advertised. Therefore, my mission is to help each and every student to believe in themselves and help them as much as possible to become a successful microblading artist. Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely not. Especially from dropping everything I know and went for something out of my comfort zone, even though I know it would be something I wanted to do. I was one of the first people in the industry to introduce microblading services in Chicago and it was definitely a struggle because not a lot of people know about what it was. On top of that, I had to learn how to establish my own business. Developing trust with clients, building my portfolio, doing my own marketing, etc. Even though it was tough starting out at first, it was rewarding because I was able to help women feel beautiful with the most innovative and newest technique.

There is always something new and innovative in the beauty industry, and I’m always eager to learn. I’m proud that I was able to push myself and go after my passion. In addition to that, I feel blessed that I was able to provide all these services to my clients who want to achieve a flawless, beautiful, and natural look. I believe that in order to become successful, you have to believe in yourself and put your heart and soul into doing something you truly love. I dedicate my time and effort on each client, designing their ideal shape for their eyebrows, eyes, and lips, and making sure they understand the process and what to expect. As a perfectionist, I do not rush my work and I will do what it takes to achieve the ideal shape and color for my clients, I think that sets me apart from others.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love how beautiful our city is! I like that there are always things to do and that is so diverse. There is amazing food here in our city and cool places to explore. However, I do not enjoy the weekday traffic and the winter times can be rough!
