Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg & Suzette Hopkins.
A Cozy Fireplace has been in business for over 20 years. It was started when Greg & Suzette Hopkins decided they could do a better job helping people with their fireplace needs. At one point the company had 8 stores. They decided that they were spread too thin to do a great job for their customers so they currently have 3 stores located in Naperville, Crest Hill & New Lenox.
Has it been a smooth road?
As with all companies we have had our ups & downs. Finding good help is always a challenge. Since we do a lot of installation and service work we only keep the best Tech’s we find. In this process occasionally we hire someone that doesn’t meet our high standards and we have to let them go. Regrettably sometimes one of our customers gets caught in the middle of this but we always bring in one of our better Tech’s to clean up the mess.

We are a specialty retail Fireplace store. We sell, install and service Fireplaces and all related accessories. We are known for expert knowledge and performance in this field. What I am most proud of is our happy customers. I love it when someone tells me they love our store. Their parents bought from us years ago and now they have come to us as well. I also love it when we are able to solve fireplace problems that other fireplace stores have given up on. I also love it when we see the children’s face light up when we turn their new fireplace on for the first time.
I think what sets us apart is the fact that we actually love what we do and care about our customers. As the owner I still get involved in the installation of products in my customers homes. I will actually go out and install the product myself just to make sure my customer is completely satisfied.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think our city is an excellent place to do business in. I would recommend them doing business here for there are many opportunities to excel.
