So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Born and raised in Chicago’s Humboldt Park community to first generation Puerto Rican family. My love of make-up artistry began during Chicago’s early hip-hop club scene. This led me to the salon industry. In 2001, I became a licensed esthetician and practiced at one of Wicker Park’s most sought after salons.
In 2005, I became the owner and founder of the revolutionary company, Pritty Kitty Designs – a mobile spa bringing specialized spa services to clients’ homes, offices or any other desired location. Pritty Kitty Designs offers a full line of waxing services ranging from eyebrows to Brazilians as well as other spa services such as make-up consultations and facials.
Starting first as a mobile spa, in 2009, I opened up my Lincoln Park Location, then later became a teacher in my field. I teach continuing education for those in the salon industry, while still serving clients from all over the Chicago land area; whether at my Lincoln Park location, or weekend spa parties in the privacy of their own homes.
As a single mother of two children, I understands the variety of demands my clientele is faced with – this is why it is my mission to make each client’s experience convenient, relaxing and enjoyable.
Has it been a smooth road?

In addition to my signature Brazilian waxing services, Pritty Kitty Designs I offers skin care services such spray tanning, facials and microdermabrasion.
To better service my customers I am now a State Certified Esthetics Instructor.
I am busy planning ‘Waxing for a Cause’ for charitable events throughout the year.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the convenience of the city and how my client base spans from Highland Park to Hyde Park, Bucktown to Boystown and everywhere in between. This city makes for plenty of loyal clients!
I hate, hate, hate…the cold. I’m definitely a summer girl!
