Meet Fayth Caruso of bellicon Studio in West Loop and Fulton Market District

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fayth Caruso.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
bellicon started originally as bellicon USA – a company that manufactures and sells the world’s highest quality, German made mini-trampoline. After several years in the US the product company wanted to offer more – and so bellicon Studio was born. bellicon Studio offers group classes and special private events all utilizing the bellicon mini-trampoline. Each rebounding class is 45 minutes long and is not only effective at calorie burning but is fun. My personal story intertwines with bellicon because I am a professional dancer and swimmer. I was always searching for a low impact workout similar to swimming but more convenient – this is how I found rebounding. I’m thrilled to be a part of the bellicon Studio team!

Has it been a smooth road?
No business is successful without some bumps along the way. The biggest challenge with this business is introducing something completely new and different into the marketplace. People know what yoga is, what treadmills are and what cycling classes are, but people are still unfamiliar with rebounding. Educating people and finding our target market has been a challenge.

In addition, rebounding is very low impact, so you will often not feel very sore the next day (similar to swimming), although the results are still there and the health benefits are enormous. In today’s culture of “I must workout until I can’t move the next day,” sometimes this can be a hard sell. Again, it comes down to educating people about the benefits of rebounding so they know how good it is for their body.

bellicon Studio is the first rebounding studio utilizing bellicon mini-trampolines in the USA. We specialize in rebounding for all ages and abilities as well as hosting private bounce parties and corporate events. We pride ourselves in the quality of our product (German made) and teachers (Trained by us). What sets us a part is that our workout does not feel like a workout – actually our aim is to make it feel like play and bring you back to your childhood, while still getting a great workout and hitting your goals.
