Today we’d like to introduce you to Evan J. Hilton, Parul Patel.

Evan J., Parul, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Evan Hilton is involved in traditional healthcare and the medical cannabis industry as a result of his mother suffering from a rare brain cancer, Oligodendroglioma. Two years prior to her passing on July 1, 2013, traditional medicine wrote her off stating there is nothing more they could do and she would pass away very soon enduring severe pain under hospice care. Being her advocate, Evan embraced the challenge and began to use alternative medicine, also known as cannabis oil. Friends, family and healthcare providers were blessed to witness a miracle before their own eyes with the use of medicinal cannabis. This allowed the prolonging of his mother’s life by almost two years while removing ALL of her high volume medications. As a result, cannabis oil allowed her to live comfortably with her terminal condition beyond belief for the remainder of her life.

Evan has impeccably integrated his relatable communication and team-oriented skills as a patient advocate to educate and support medical cannabis patients. Mon Chéri, LLC has dedicated its mission to advocate for sensible laws and regulations, which will not interfere with patient’s safety and affordable access to quality medicine. Evan has acquired a special perspective to represent the voice of these patients with intentions to ensure they’re receiving the most effective medicine, which requires innovational research to aid in bettering their quality of life based on their medical diagnosis. Has it been a smooth road?
In the beginning when GreenMCMeds first started, medical cannabis was JUST legalized. We wanted to help as many patients as we can by educating physicians as well as patients on the benefits of the medical cannabis. Our goal was to help patients sign up and educate physicians on how they can help their patients with medical cannabis. But we quickly realized traditional healthcare wasn’t ready for medical cannabis. It was still federally illegal, physicians didn’t know enough to be comfortable referring their patients to medical cannabis so we had to find another way to become sustainable. We wanted our mission and goals to align with why we started. We discover some traditional healthcare opportunities that we could still help patients and also physicians. We started offering personalized preventative genetic tests. With a simple non invasive mouth swab, we offer preventative cancer, disease and pharmacogenomic tests to help prevent and personalize a patients medicine.

To name a few test GreenMCMeds offers:

-Cancer Screening: Identifying genes related to up to 8 types of solid tumor cancers: Breast, Ovarian, Uterine, Prostate, Stomach, Colon/Rectal, Pancreas and Skin. By a simple mouth swab, we can identify if a patient carries a gene that can be related to one or more of the cancers listed above. By identifying a gene linked to cancer, we help potentially prevent cancer by doing more preventative care and testing.

-Personalized Preventative Medicine (PGx): By a simple mouth swab, we can identify how a patient breaks down their medication. Knowing what type of metabolizer you are when it comes to medication is very important. PGx testing can do the following:
Minimize trial-and- error medicine
Avoid adverse drug reactions
Reduce polypharmacy
Reduce toxicity
Reduce ineffective therapy

What sets us apart from other companies such as ourselves is the fact that we started off of a passionate story. Evan’s mother suffered from a rare brain tumor and doctors gave up on her. WE DIDNT! We knew there had be something more to do to help her. With that same passion for his mother, we have for OUR patients. We want make sure every patient has everything they need to better their quality of life. We want make sure the doctors have the tools that they need to make sure they’re doing everything they can to help their patients. If testing and such was available when Evan was taking care of his mother (such as the preventative cancer test and legal medical cannabis), she would potentially still be with us today. We lost that battle, but we refuse to let another patient loose their battle due to insufficient knowledge of what is out in the healthcare industry that can potentially save lives!
