Meet Erin Solomon of Erin Solomon Life Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Solomon.

Erin, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Before becoming a life coach, I was a lawyer at one of the best large law firms in the world. I was super “successful” on paper, but deep down I wasn’t fulfilled. I’d worked so hard through law school and earned my way to this dream job, but I felt like I was living someone else’s dream. Law is a great career, but it just didn’t feel true to me or sustainable.

Around that time, I discovered the world of personal development. I dove headfirst into every personal development book, video, and podcast I could get my hands on! As I became more and more self-aware, it was clear to me that staying in law wasn’t right for me anymore. I could’ve stayed and stuck out. Done the “logical,” safe thing. But I knew there was no way I was going to settle for a life that wasn’t true to me.

Still, I had no idea what to do next! No other careers I’d come across felt right until I found life coaching. It hit me like a lightning bolt! Beyond just excitement, I had this sudden, deep sense of certainty that it was right for me. (Now I know to always trust that feeling.) Within a week, I’d signed up for life coach training and went all in!

Today, I am proud to say I’m a life coach, entrepreneur, writer, and speaker. I’m also launching an online course and a podcast soon! I work with passion-driven, creative entrepreneurs who want to ditch the frantic hustle and accomplish their goals with ease, flow and joy, so they can have a successful business and a thriving personal life at the same time. It’s such an honor and a joy to serve others as a coach. I’m so glad I listened to my intuition back then and pursued this dream of mine!

I can’t tell you how grateful I am for each amazing person who lets me into their world and allows me to witness and help facilitate incredible transformations. As for my legal training? It hasn’t gone to waste! It plays a huge part in who I am as a coach, entrepreneur, writer, speaker, and woman. And I still get to dabble in the legal world, as I’m also a legal recruiter. (Cheers to my fellow multi-passionate people!).

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Entrepreneurship is rarely (never?) a smooth road! I’ve had to grow and learn SO much. I swear, it’s like 10 years of growth crammed into 1 year when you’re a solopreneur. I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way though. It’s been so much fun. Hardly any of it has felt like “work.” That’s when you know what you’re doing is truly aligned and is your mission and passion!

Truth is, to be a really great life coach, you must face your own limiting beliefs, doubts, and fears and live in as close to complete integrity as possible (in other words, you must walk the talk). There’s really no short-cutting it, at least not for long! When I became a coach, I committed to a life of prioritizing my own personal growth and self-care first and foremost.

This allows me to hold so much more space for my clients and to really be present with them and help them through the messy, difficult waters. So, that’s meant doing my own deep, messy inner work and investing a lot in my own coaches. I’ve also learned how to take really, really good care of my wellbeing, which is essential as a business owner, especially as a service-based business (you are your business).

The challenges are so much easier to get through with a great support system. I’m fortunate to have found amazing coaches and an incredible community of supportive, visionary peers who lift me up, call me forward and are there for me every step of the way. You really don’t have to figure it all out alone!

Erin Solomon Life Coaching – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
As a life coach, I primarily work with super successful, passion-driven entrepreneurs who want help to create more flow, ease, and joy in life and biz. Many people start businesses to have a flexible, freedom lifestyle but end up working like crazy! They’re overwhelmed, overworked, and all over the place. Often, they’re disconnected from themselves and others and have a tough time shutting off work and relaxing. Sometimes their loved ones are starting to resent how much they work.

My clients tend to be big dreamers and do-ers, so they can also get overwhelmed by their own big goals and dreams and want help sorting through them and prioritizing what to focus on. I help my clients see the big picture and get crystal clear on their vision, goals, and priorities so they can align their actions with who they are and what they truly desire. We work on creating space for what matters most, establishing really good boundaries and self-care routines, and I help keep them accountable to their goals.

We inevitably dive into the deep inner work too – the mindset work. That’s the stuff I most love! I have a knack for highlighting blind spots and revealing what they haven’t been able to see what’s holding them back. Sometimes that means calling out the lies they’re telling themselves and others are telling them! My clients see themselves in a different light after working with me. It’s amazing to witness the transformations they experience. It’s really an honor to help guide others to greater levels self-awareness and self-assuredness. That’s key to unlocking true inner peace and joy!

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I’ve had my own coaches from day one, even before I fully launched my business. I still have multiple coaches to this day. That’s how much I believe in the power of coaching! You really don’t have to figure this all out alone and often it’s impossible to see your own blind spots. You need someone else, preferably a neutral third party like a coach, to point them out for you. To hold space for you to process your thoughts and emotions, bounce ideas, and sometimes just to vent.

And to call you forward to your full potential. I also have an incredible community of coach friends who I’ve met online. Some of them even live on the other side of the world! I’m so grateful to be surrounded and supported by other amazing women who just get it and get me. It’s so important, especially for solopreneurs!

My clients – past, present, and future – deserve so much credit. It’s really because they step up and see the value of investing in themselves and in working with me that I’m able to continue doing what I love. They show up fully, eager to dig in and do the work and trust me to be their guide. It’s such a joy and an honor!
