Meet Emil Spengler of Noodles Tattoo Studio in Warrenville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emil Spengler.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began Tattooing in 2000. I thought the best way to learn was to get tattooed. There were no books or at least very few in the library on the subject. A revolution began when as a young boy when I saw my barber’s old worn tattoo he received in the Navy years before. Fortunately for me, the local tattoo shop needed some extra help, and they liked my artwork. So they asked me if I would like to learn. I opened my own shop in 2013. These tattooers continue to carry a newly lit torch of professionalism which builds the momentum of the shop. Just as then as much as now, myself and the others approach our work and study with sincerity and conviction.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My choice of work has always been on the ‘fringe’ of professional and personal sacrifices. It has always been a big part of my life. Adaptation and growth come with strife and struggles. They will always be a shadow in our work.

Noodles tattoo offers clean quality tattooing with a smile. All of the tattooers specialize in Classic, modern and unique tattooing suited to fit the individual for optimum positive reflection. The tattooers in my shop dedicate an immense amount of time and personal sacrifice to continually hone their craft and deliver the best tattoos possible- all in a welcoming and friendly environment. That conviction sets us apart from the rest.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
We are delighted and proud to see a customer come through our door and leave happy with a great tattoo. Those small moments every day reflect in the shop.
