I came to America in the year of 2000. I brought more than 11years of hospital working experience as a Chinese medicine doctor from China. I want to build a Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic in U.S. As a Chinese Medicine doctor should can help many different condition, and some people’s suffer are pretty hard, that keeps me hard working and nonstop studying. The year of 2011, I went to Doctor of acupuncture and oriental medicine, which was new and highest program of acupuncture in the U.S, where I met highest experts from China, they shared their practice experience of their whole life, gained Doctor degree in 2015, that made my knowledge more richly. People who has had pain condition and many chronic disease, they did not get enough treat from their original treatment and live in a very hard situation, came to Lake County Acupuncture Clinic look for more help.
The Big Moment
As a doctor, the proud part is you can help people feel better. After I came to U.S, I am grateful to a hospital where I worked before, I had work experience with western medicine and Chinese medicine, because the both way’s medicine practice made me can help people better. When you ask this question, it cause me think too many things seems like a small river along my memory……..long time ago, I just came to U.S. just had my license, worked in an herbal store in China Town, Chicago, there was a young lady, she had a miscarriage, she is RH-, hard to get pregnancy. Her father was my patient seeking for acupuncture treatment, then brought his daughter to ask my help. I gave her herbal tea without acupuncture treatment, she got pregnant in the first month. I have met a young lady, when she came to my office, Lake County Acupuncture Clinic, with her husband, she described her symptoms, dizziness, headaches, frequency urination, messed menstrual cycle, hard to pregnancy, failed with IVF. We worked pretty hard, at beginning help her hormone back into balanced, then try to help her pregnancy. During our working she had one natural miscarriage, so I suggested her to try IVF, then succeed. I worked with her almost three years. I have worked for a patient,74years old, who has had lower extremity edema. He had edema after injured when he was in high school. Since then, he has to wear a medical legging every day, walked with imbalance feeling, and numbness in bottom of feet. He came to my office, Lake County Acupuncture Clinic. I do acupuncture treatment combine herbal medicine, at beginning he had treatment once each week, then once every two weeks, is almost two years now. Few days ago, he came back from Paris, he said his wife was so surprised about his walking was so well. You know, as a doctor, what is the proudest moment, which is the patient had improved their health condition, the special is some condition they suffered from years, but you had helped them, their life change into much better and happier. I like to have a proudest moment every day that is when I hear from patient feel better……
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it is not smooth at all. You have a little baby and start a new business in a new country. At a beginning time, it made everything pretty hard. I really appreciate everyone who helped me. Now we think back forwards any challenge is almost past. We will move forwards make Lake County Acupuncture Clinic to help more people.
