Today we’d like to introduce you to Dianna Durkin-Dillon.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been in the industry since I was 16 years old, (over 30+ years). I have owned other businesses in the years past. Owner and operator in a hair studio in which we offered nearly every service in the industry at that time. I am a cosmetologist by trade, do makeup, waxing, ear piercing, specialized in haircutting and up do’s, also did body piercing.
Although I have done other things over the last 30 years to make a living and to have medical insurance for me and my son. Who I have raised as a single mother since he was two years old. I have always had a love affair with the beauty industry and making people feel good about themselves.
Double D’s Tanning Spa, Inc. – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a tanning spa with a licensed esthetician and masseuse. Opened in mid – August of 2017 and steadily growing over the last 4 months. We have regular UVB beds of various levels, a UBA bronzing bed that continuously tans after the session for 72 hours, versa spa heated spray tan with 3 level choices, red light therapy, hydro massage, full body waxing, facials, peels, microdermabrasion, body treatments, anti-aging eye treatments, had and foot treatments, paraffin dips, ear piercing, eyebrow tinting and ear candling.
I have always loved everything to do with the beauty industry and knew by the age of five. Our bronzing bed is a big attraction and the most popular bed we have.
I am proud of the service and dedication to our clients that we offer. We try to go above and beyond to make the client happy and accommodate them if we can at all.
What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
I have overcome a lot of hardships in my life, but I am a strong, independent woman and always land on my feet. Beginning a new chapter in this book of life with my new husband and starting up a new business and purchasing our own building. Also, very proud of raising my son on my own (with help from my mom).
