Today we’d like to introduce you to Diane and Whitney Belz.
Diane and Whitney, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I call our studio experience a God thing. Our studio came into existence in 1997 during a hard time in my family’s life. We feel it helped bring us out of trauma we experienced. We have a staff of professional teachers who have discovered that helping dancers reach their goals in technique and talent can be a very rewarding experience for them as well as their students.
Our environment is a welcoming environment for all levels from the student who is in it for fun to the student in hopes of being professional. We also offer a class that enables special needs students to grow and become more confident in who they are and aids them in learning large motor skills.
We have recently become an outreach source for Naomi’s House (Moody Church) a residential program that offers the hope and healing of Jesus for women who have suffered from commercial sexual exploitation.
As of last year, we have taken our gifts into the community. Matt. 5:16 “In the same way let your light shine before others so that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.” Where we give our students an opportunity to perform in the community, in addition to our end of year performance.
Our vision is to assist individuals in finding confidence and joy in the performing arts. Our goal is to use the gifts we have as a platform to help encourage Faith, Hope, and Love in our community.
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s not always been a smooth road because our location has limited us to public visibility.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go The Upper room Dance Studio story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a Dance Studio. We offer Ballet,Contemporary, Irish, and tumbling to mention a few. We instill proper Ballet technique, community Outreach and a message in our recitals.
What we as a studio impart into our students; Character, integrity, modesty, and love for people and the performing arts.
