Today we’d like to introduce you to Deborah Reinhart.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
An interior designer for over 25 years, my eye for detail was developed at an early age by my mother. From the color of my salad to the clothes I wore, my mother needed aesthetic balance and color coordination in everything.
Christmas morning the appetizers needed to look as appealing as the holiday decor. Have you ever walked into space which jars your senses and feels uncomfortable? Conversely, have you been a room which invites you to stay with its comfort and approachability? If you have then you have experienced the language of interior design, softly spoken and universally understood. Interior design matters… My mission in interior design includes diverse environments, objects, color and project management to install the finest interiors suited to the occupants.
My passion for interior design, however, is people-centric. What is their comfort? What defines their space needs now-and-then tomorrow? How can our team exceed their expectations? Our clients include professionals with little time, Some are families with changing life stages as their children mature… Mature clients have experienced life and now need the uncommon life. People centric-Good design is about personal harmony. Designed around you.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
1. Self Employed, I raised my daughter alone-and prioritized her life needs over an ambitious career 2. Starting over-was challenging 3. The industry of interior design was drastically influenced by recessions and evolving trends. To succeed, one needs to adapt.

Deb Reinhart Interior Design Group is a boutique firm based in the northern suburbs. Our goal is a personalized expression of you–.to create an interior dynamically unique to the life you lead. On time On budget.
How do you want to feel when you walk in your home? How do you want to entertain? How do you and your loved ones live-? these are the questions, our work answers. Our focus is to create a home which reflects the client’s taste, their lifestyle and their architecture and make it special without trendy furnishings or impersonal decor.
Design that works- ‘I love walking into my home’- is the expression most often heard from our clients. Design that works-‘ the children are calmer and more focused now that they have a place to do their homework and activities’. Favorite quote from a young family. What’s your favorite memory from childhood?
Spending summers on the white sandy beaches of Lake Ontario family and friends all converged here and 1. it had an outhouse – 2. the water was from a lever pump in the sink how old does that make me? 🙂
