Today we’d like to introduce you to Deborah Liverett.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Deborah. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
As it happens in many people’s lives, I asked myself the proverbial question, what is the purpose of my life? The answer was swift and clear; I am to educate and inspire people. That began the work of defining how to do that. A closer look at my life showed I was listening closely to people sent to me by others and asking them meaningful questions. I started hearing from people, you inspired me and that let me know I was fulfilling my soul’s goal.
I became a certified coach, author of the book, Bread and Butter: A Self-Directed Discovery to Your Desired Life and was a corporate philanthropist. Very busy and yet everything aligned – helping others to seek their better life. The answers are within each of us, sometimes we just need someone to see us and ask impactful questions that trigger inner change…
Before I could help others I had to restore myself. I started reading inspirational books at age fourteen. I journaled, took yoga and meditation classes attempting to heal my broken places. Through introspection, self-acceptance and extreme self-care, I remembered how to love myself, my life and others.
Has it been a smooth road?
There were many lessons along the road to self-discovery. As a child of divorce and abandonment from my father, I began to pray, please give me whatever it takes not to repeat the same mistakes twice. The prayer didn’t always work. I vowed not to take my children on the divorce journey. When I could no longer stay in the marriage, there was a divorce, not enough money to get me from one paycheck to another and fear kept me from seeing clearly for years.
I had a heart to heart talk with my ego, while I appreciated its attempt to keep me safe, it was time to trust adult decisions based on what was happening to me in the present moment; no longer basing decisions on the emotional relationship traumas of the past.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Live Life Coaching and Consulting encourages individuals and charities to discover their internal brilliance and give voice their to possibilities for potential growth and improvement.
I am proud of the creativity my clients and I employ to help foster growth. Change is not easy for most people, even when the old results are not what they truly want. It takes courage and a craving to move beyond the stories we tell ourselves. I reintroduce the concept of choice and the power of awareness. We are on a joint journey without judgment.
