Today we’d like to introduce you to Debora Herszberg.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in France eating great food and amazing crepes every Sunday.
My husband and I have been catering for the past 7 years about 5 years ago we were looking to do something in the summer, so we thought CREPES so we approached park district and they loved the idea, 5 years later we love what we do!we have the pleasure to be apart of so many children childhood and watching family grow and evolve.
When we are not at the park We are invited to wedding bar mitzvah anniversaries proposals family reunions and the list goes on. We have recently opened up a restaurant – Chato’s pasta house. A small funky Italian style restaurant.
Has it been a smooth road?
No Journey is a piece of cake- our first season I was 7 months pregnant the days were long and we had a little red cart that brought with us every day- but with the years it got easier and no matter how much work it is- and flipping 300 crepes a day is a lot of work… we love it!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Crepes in the park – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Crepes in the park make European-style crepes every crepe is made to order -our sweet crepes are a build your own a crêpe with over 20 toppings.
Our savory crepes include spinach and ricotta top with pesto chicken Parm and the Classic ham and cheese.
We are proud to create flavors that make people smile from the classic strawberry Nutella. To the kid’s favorite marshmallow Oreo chocolate sauce. Nothing is off limits with us.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Chicago’s the city for entrepreneurs if you could envision it you can do it. I don’t believe in bad cities.
