Today we’d like to introduce you to Dean Weiss.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My wife and partner Debbie Weiss was a partner in a staffing firm 20 years ago which was sold. Maritza Castillo our other partner worked for Debbie’s agency. After the sale of the business, Maritza stayed in the industry and managed branches for a couple of agencies. A year ago, Maritza contacted Debbie because she wanted to start an agency and wanted Debbie for a partner. Debbie brought me in to the mix and in January, 2017 we launched All1Staffing and we have grown a great deal in our first 10 months of business. We make a great team because we all bring different skills to our business. Maritza heads up operations and recruiting. Debbie heads up finance and administration and I head up business development and marketing.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
From the outset, it was a smooth launch. Maritza brought her expertise in the industry along with some of her past clients which got us off to a great start. We have landed several great new clients during the next few months of launch and we exceeded our expectations. Maritza also brought in a few recruiters who used to work with her so the transitions was seamless. Our one challenge now is keeping up with the demand of our existing and new clients.

We are a light industrial staffing firm that works with clients to fill their staffing needs. Our customers use us to find them temporary and temp to hire employees. We specialize finding great workers for the demanding jobs in the manufacturing sector. Our customer service to both our employees and clients is second to none and that is why we keep both for the long term. We actually take the time to learn as much about our clients businesses to become their true HR partner and only send candidates that fill their specific needs. The same goes for our employees. We send them to a job that they will be successful at. Our goal is to help them find permanent work!! Communication to both employees and clients stand out in the industry.
What were you like growing up?
I was very social, very much into sports and liked to have lots of fun. Loved to hang out with friends in the city where I grew up. A huge Cubs and Hawks fan!
