David – please share your story with us.
Launched in 1994, DAL Builders started out as a company focused on new construction, building custom and semi-custom homes in Northern Illinois for several developers and architects. Since then, we’ve expanded into a full-service remodeling firm with offices in Chicago, serving both residential and commercial clients. We manage both small, thousand-dollar remodels and large, multimillion-dollar new construction projects. Our staff includes experienced tradesman and seasoned project managers—and we work closely with a team of licensed and insured sub-contractors to provide quality and cost-effective prices.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It really has been a fairly smooth ride, we have had our ups and downs of course but the ups far outweigh the downs at this point. I believe our ability to adapt to the ever changing housing market and design trends are the key to our success.
DAL Builders – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a full service General contractor, we perform projects ranging from a simple deck to full custom home builds. We hold a variety of memberships and certifications. We are A Green Certified , fully bonded and insured, licensed as a general contractor and home repair professional as well as we’re a certified lead renovator.
Our mission at DAL Builders Inc. is to provide service that exceeds our clients’ expectations. We strive to provide a safe and enjoyable work place. We treat every job as if we were working in our own home, providing quality work at a fair price. Always being conscientious of our surroundings using environmentally friendly products and practices at no additional cost to our clients.
We are also the project manager and lead contractor on an FYI network TV show called Downtown shabby. Additionally we guest spot on The Frank Fontana radio show (WGN radio) about once a month.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I personally believe Success is loving what I do and doing it to the best of my ability.
I look for happy employees and happy clients, if we have that I believe we are doing our job.
