Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel and Tim Schultz.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My brother and I got into this business because we couldn’t find a solution that worked for us. We needed a healthy meal option that was already prepped, used quality ingredients, was affordable, local, and wasn’t trying to sell some fad. It sounds crazy but that really isn’t out there. We are blue collar workers ourselves and we needed a solution that worked for us.
One that didn’t have all the flash of Paleo for example or the bareness of a bodybuilder diet and we didn’t like the costs associated with those either. So we brought Shift Meal Prep to market. A meal prepping company for the working people. A meal prepping company that simply focuses on high quality, nutritionally balanced meals, without all the flash and diet fad terminology. That’s what a lot of our competitors are out there to do. They want to sell you on the current terms that are catching everyone’s attention and trust us, they charge you for it. We sell convenience and a lifestyle, there is no one out there doing what we do.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are always challenges in everything. But for the most part, I would say it has been a smooth road.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
We are very family oriented and have a rather large extended family. I don’t think many people can say they keep in contact with 2nd cousins but we definitely do. So family get-togethers tops the list of most memorable.
