After retiring as an energy trader, I wanted to engage capable people who are either under or unemployed in a service that would give them living wages and keep me busy. Housekeeping is one of my passions and I know that there are many busy residents in the metro Chicago area who want a spotless living environment, but don’t have the time or inclination to devote to this task.
I started with a small team of 5 individuals who have housekeeping experience and now we have a team of over 40. Although we focus on the metro market, we have clients in surrounding suburbs as well.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a slow road. After incorporating my thought was to solidify a dependable workforce, and then begin marketing the service. Mistake. I should have done both simultaneously, hence testing the myriad marketing vehicles and outlets has proven to be an arduous learning curve.

Concierge Housekeeping Services offers “white glove service with tender care.” We specialize in high-end residential properties and we are known for our courteous, punctual and thorough service. Our referral business has been my greatest pride because we differentiate our service with special care that far exceeds the normal cleaning menu of services.
