Today we’d like to introduce you to Carson Goodale.
Carson started this company while in college, after watching a football game with his friends at a local bar. He was complaining about waiting in long lines to receive a beverage. He thought, wouldn’t it be great to order a drink from his mobile device and have a server deliver it to him opposed to waiting in line. Thus, the creation of FanFood- The team started this business to solve a universal problem within the live entertainment space. The team now spends their time building out the technology platform, growing a sales pipeline, fundraising for their seed round, cultivating their business model, and partnering with strategic accounts. The KPI’s at their current stage are gross concessions sales, active FanFood users, and number of orders placed. Their unique retrofitted technology offerings and strategic partnerships with the venue and/or food service partners make the solution to this problem possible.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has not always been smooth for FanFood, in revolutionizing the fan experience at live events, we’re disrupting the way F&B organizations have operated their concession stands over the last 20+ years. In our first year, we began to identify these operational infrastructure inefficiencies. Another struggle is overcoming objectives in the fundraising process; proving WHY FanFood will be a success and HOW.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
FanFood is a mobile ordering platform providing consumers in the live entertainment space the opportunity to order concessions directly to their seats or available for express line pick up. In addition to revolutionizing the fan experience, FanFood is generating higher sales for their F&B partners. FanFood is a full end to end solution provider. We are the ONLY company focused on helping our partners succeed with a mobile concession feature. Logistics, Training, Support, Marketing, and Deployment are all very important steps in the process to implement a successful mobile experience for our fans and partners.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Over the last 10 years, Chicago has become a hub for tech startups, particularly in the foodservice space. The city is saturated with resources, i.e. incubator and accelerator spaces, in addition to the expansion of WeWork in six locations housing hundreds of startups. I would absolutely recommend building your startup here.
